UofA DSD-L Listserve

The DSD-L list is a forum for the exchange of ideas and information concerning the Decision Support Database (i.e RPTS, or "data warehouse") at the University of Alaska. Members of this list regularly receive warehouse status reports, notification of changes, and advanced notification of upcoming training.

Messages sent to the DSD-L@LISTS.UAF.EDU email address are automatically distributed to all members of the DSD-L list. Since the list forwards mail to members, it's not always obvious who originated the message. Please form the habit of including your name and email address in the body of your messages. That way individuals can respond directly to you rather than to the whole list when answering your questions.

TO RETRIEVE ARCHIVED MESSAGES

Messages sent to DSD-L are archived for one year. So, if you are new to the list and would like to review old messages, send the following message to the list server: 

      to:       DSD-L-REQUEST@LISTS.UAF.EDU
      subject:  (not important)
      body:     SEND DSD##.ASC
where ## is replaced by a two digit month: 01 for January; 02 for February; 03 for March; etc. We began archiving in January of 1996 (DSD01.ASC). The archive files are overwritten annually.
